I began my education in Ifa and the tools used to develop the mental and spiritual discipline needed to make the advances I had been seeking, after dissolving a 16year relationship and the loss of a daughter in 2014. “Members work” Divinations, Ancestral veneration and several varieties of tools and practices were offered at what seemed to be the right place at the right time, nothing like a coincidence. Too many experiences, assignments and solutions have been
learned once I had used the practices and spirit led guidance from Iya Keturah. I would recommend
this Ille if your are 1st open minded, open to listen without inner talk and have the desire to elevate
your experience on earth n general. Everything thing is a spiritual experience and prayer is a
constant state of existence as gentle and powerful as the air we breath.

As a younger person, I deeply appreciate the support and guidance of older Black women who, like me, are actively engaged in the work of self and community liberation. I don't have many examples of women living the kind of life I aspire to lead, so being in this space whenever I can is incredibly meaningful. It reminds me that my ideas are not crazy and that embracing nuance and self-authorship is essential to living a fulfilled life.
In this space, I feel held, supported, and strengthened in my convictions. I always leave with answers to questions I didn't know I had, along with new questions I hadn't thought to ask. That opportunity for deeper reflection and honesty helps me recognize the comforting stories I tell myself that may actually be limiting my growth.
To be seen with clear, kind eyes is one of the greatest gifts. Hearing the stories of others reminds
me that I am not alone. I find comfort in knowing there are people like me who continue to show up,
do the work, and try their best.Thank you to all the women who hold this space each week. Your wisdom,
care, and generosity have helped me understand myself more deeply and continue walking this path with
greater courage, clarity, and hope.

What our clients say about us...
Iya Keturah has been an important piece of my path — she helped me clear away programming I’d picked up from other Spiritual Teachers/Leaders along the way, and showed me that the path doesn’t have to be so straight and narrow.
There was a point where I was standing right at the edge of something heavier than I want to get into here,
and instead of letting me stay there, she gave me a piece of wisdom I still carry: if you see a bag of money
sitting on theside of the road, someone’s going to want it — that doesn’t make it theirs to take.
What she meant was me.My entire being. My power, the power I was innately born with — and what
happens whenI’m not standing in it. I’m grateful for her as a checkpoint in my own destiny

Iya is direct, clear, and deeply insightful. She challenges trainees to look beyond what we do to understand the why and how, and who we need to be in that moment to achieve the goal.
Her trainings help bridge the needs of the person, organization, and community. Through thoughtful
reflection and honest conversation, Iya helps individuals better understand themselves, their roles,
and how they can work more intentionally with others toward shared goals.

Working with Iya has provided me with easeful practical prompts that push me to consistently assess my commitments and integrate my intentions for integritous living. I’m very grateful for her work which serves as a reminder to remember one’s own purpose, clearing all else that might try to muddy the water. Clarity is a divine function of her work.

What our partners say about us...
Arts for the Culture
We are so grateful to have Iya Keturah in the Arts for the Culture family. She serves as an elder, educator, storyteller, counselor, and a grounding feminine leader—bringing wisdom, cultural memory, and spiritual depth to our work with young people.
Her impact was especially powerful during our Venezuelan Calypso Carnaval program at Arlington Elementary, led by our resident maestro, Venezuelan percussionist and educator Tomás Arangüibel. While Tomás introduced the students to the rhythms, songs, and traditions of Venezuelan calypso, Iya helped place that music within a much larger story. She guided us through the connections between Africa, the Caribbean, the Americas, and the traditions of Calypso and Carnival. Through stories and songs of the Orishas, she helped our Baltimore students understand that they were not simply learning a new style of music—they were encountering a living cultural inheritance connected to their own history.
That is the gift Iya brings to Arts for the Culture. She helps us move beyond presenting culture as entertainment and brings us closer to its meaning, memory, and spirit. Her presence
deepens the work for our students and for
our team. Thank you Iya!

I feel extremely blessed, favored, and am beyond grateful to have encountered the spiritual counseling services available through the Stay In Power People. It has been nothing short of life changing for me. As the saying goes, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear, and that has truly been my experience here. I studied many religions and theologies prior to encountering this organization, as truth has been my most faithful guide in life. I have found so much truth, and insight, in the spirit led counsel, as well as the various courses I have enrolled in, in my time with the Stay In Power People. I have never had a
more effective and expansive resource in
assisting me to become all that I came to this
life to be. For anyone ready to change their lives
for the better, I always recommend them to the
Stay In Power People.

Working with Iya Keturah Monroe changed the way I lead my business, and more importantly, changed who I am as I lead it. She has a rare ability to see past the surface level "business problem" you bring her and get to what's actually happening underneath, where your story, your soul's work, and your business practices have drifted out of alignment. She has been there to support me through every challenge, every stretch of growth, and every learning curve I've faced. Iya doesn't just hand you a strategy. She guides you to do the internal work Spirit is asking of you, and the external solutions become clear almost as a byproduct. That's her gift. She doesn't separate the spiritual journey from the practical one. She shows you they were never separate to begin with.Since then, the way I show up for my team, my clients, and my partners has fundamentally shifted. I'm clearer on my mission. I'm more honest in how I tell my story, and more confident that I'm having the impact I'm intending to have.
If you're willing to do the work, there is no one
better equipped to walk you through it,
step by step, than Iya Keturah.

Over the past nine years, studying with Iya Keturah has been a transformative experiences in my life. When I first began this journey, I was seeking healing, clarity, and a deeper understanding of myself. What I found was so much more than spiritual guidance—I found a path to lasting transformation.
Through spirit lead work with Iya Keturah , I have navigated a profound spiritual awakening while learning to embrace the challenging but rewarding process of shadow work. Her knowledge wisdom and transparent support have helped me face aspects of myself and my family history that I had carried for years without fully understanding. As a result, I have been able to work through deep ancestral trauma, release limiting patterns, and cultivate a healthier relationship with myself and others.
One of the greatest gifts of this journey has been the sense of community and Sovereignty I have experienced.
Through Iya Keturah’s guidance, I have learned the importance of authentic connection, accountability, and spiritual integration. Rather than seeking healing as a solitary pursuit, I have become part of a supportive community that encourages growth, resilience, and mutual care while navigating life’s journey.
Her members work/ community of self integration practice, has also extended into practical life coaching, helping me make healthier decisions, develop greater emotional resilience, and approach life’s challenges with confidence and purpose. The spiritual practices she has taught me are not temporary solutions—they are lifelong tools that continue to support my personal growth every day.
As I have committed to these practices, I have experienced meaningful changes in my overall well-being. I have moved toward greater mental clarity, emotional balance, and an ongoing path of physical recovery and wellness. While healing is a continuous journey, I am deeply grateful for how much stronger, more grounded, and more hopeful I have become.
I wholeheartedly recommend Iya Keturah to anyone seeking authentic spiritual growth, personal healing, and lifelong practices that foster transformation. Her wisdom, dedication, and unwavering support have profoundly impacted my life, and I will always be
grateful for the role she has played in helping me
become the person I am today.
